Publication Record Submission Guidelines

Publication Record Submission Guidelines

1. Eligible Publications

  • Include only publications in ABDC A*, A, or B journals.
  • Use the latest ABDC Journal Quality List (2025 JQL).
  • Include publications published or forthcoming. Conditional acceptances should not be included.
  • Publications should be reported regardless of whether the journal is in the faculty member’s core research area.

2. Reporting Period

  • For regular updates, report new publications since the previous submission up to the specified reporting date.
  • New colleagues should provide eligible publications dating from January 2021.

3. How to Update the Record

  • Use the latest publication record file provided by the School and retain the existing format.
  • Add new publications at the top of the file and highlight them in yellow.
  • Do not resubmit publications that have already been reported.
  • If a previously reported forthcoming article now has a complete citation, put a strikethrough on the old entry and add the updated citation.

4. Classification by Academic Area

  • Record publications according to the colleague’s academic appointment, not the subject area of the publication.
  • For example, a faculty member appointed in Economics should report publications under ECO, even if the article appears in a Finance or Marketing journal.

5. Citation Format
Provide the full publication citation, including the DOI where available, followed by the ABDC journal ranking.
