The Department of Accountancy and the Research Institute for Business co-organized a two-day Research Training Workshop on 2 and 3 May 2018 to staff members from the School of Business. We are honoured to invite Professor HAW In-Mu, Visiting Chair Professor of the School of Business and Professor Kevin LAM, Professor of the Department of Accountancy, to be the trainers of the workshop.
With the aim of encouraging research and providing advice in research to staff members, Professor Haw presented his two research papers including (1) The implications of IFRS and the Puzzle in the Pricing of Cross-Listed Chinese A and H Shares, and (2) The Bright Side of Supply Chain Analysts on Supplier Innovation, on the first day of workshop. On the second day, participants were invited to present their working papers and received professional comments from trainers.
Participants were deeply engaged throughout the workshop. They were eager to ask questions and share their opinions in regard to the research topics and methodologies. The workshop concluded on 3 May 2018 by a lunch gathering in which the participants had more research exchange for potential research opportunity.
